Introduction to Gulf Place

Gulf Place is such a fun little pocket along 30A. You’ve got beach access, restaurants, coffee shops, art booths, live music, and people out walking or biking all day long. It’s all right there, so you never really have to leave once you’re here.

The heart of it is Gulf Place Town Center. There’s a big grassy area that hosts events, a mix of local shops and restaurants, and it’s all just steps from the sand. It’s one of those places where you can grab a coffee, browse the art booths, then walk across the street and catch the sunset at Ed Walline Beach Access. Super walkable, super easy.

There’s a mix of condos, townhomes, and beach houses, so it works whether you’re looking for a full-time spot, a second home, or something with rental potential. A lot of buyers love it for the location. You’re right on 30A but in a little hub that has everything.

Where on 30A?

Gulf Place is located on the west end of  30A, so getting to Destin is super easy. You’re close to a ton of great spots, but it still feels relaxed and laid-back. You’re about (without traffic):

  • 5 minutes from Blue Mountain
  • 10-15 minutes from Grayton Beach
  • 15 minutes from Seaside
  • 5 minutes from Dune Allen or Topsail Hill
  • 45 minutes from Destin or VPS airport in Fort Walton Beach

This area has such a good mix of nature and walkability. Gulf Place backs right up to the Ed Walline Beach Access, which is one of the nicest public beach spots around. You’ve got restrooms, showers, a dune walkover, and the most amazing sunset views.

Just a few minutes away, you’ve got access to some of 30A’s scenic trails and state parks. You can bike to Grayton Beach State Park or head over to Topsail Hill for longer walks and hidden beach spots. It’s easy to get outdoors and enjoy the water without being in a super crowded area.
