We spent the day over in Panama City Beach and wanted to share a quick update on all the new and exciting things popping up in the area. And trust me, there’s a lot going on right now.
We kicked off the day with lunch at Longhorn (highly recommend the salads if you haven’t tried them) and then hit the road to check out everything new coming to PCB. We’re talking Topgolf, a massive new surf park, and the brand-new Dolly Parton Pirates Voyage show.
If you’re new here, hey! We’re a mother-daughter real estate team helping buyers and sellers all over Florida’s Emerald Coast. We love keeping you in the loop about what’s happening locally, especially when it comes to new developments.
Pier Park Drive Thru Tour
Our first stop was Pier Park, a staple in Panama City Beach. If you’ve been here before, you probably know it well. It’s the go-to spot for shopping, restaurants, and entertainment.
There are two main parts to Pier Park:
The front section has all your shopping like big-name stores, boutiques, and fun tourist shops
In the middle, you’ll find Dave and Buster’s, a movie theater, and some other entertainment spots
Once you hit Front Beach Road, you’ll reach the beachside area with restaurants like Margaritaville, Tootsie’s, and the iconic Ron Jon Surf Shop. You can even walk right up to the pier, and yes, there’s a dog park too
New Topgolf Just Opened
Just behind the Walmart near Pier Park is the brand new Topgolf. It’s been in the works for a while and it’s finally here. It’s super close to all the shops and restaurants, which makes it a great hangout spot.
This location has:
74 climate-controlled hitting bays on two levels
Indoor and outdoor seating
A full-service bar and kitchen
Fans and heaters so it works year round
Shellpoint Surf Park Coming Soon
Right behind Topgolf is a huge open area. That’s where the Shellpoint Surf Club Wave Pool is going. This is a huge project with an opening planned for 2027.
Here’s what it’ll include:
A 3-acre surf lagoon with waves from 1 to 7 feet
Over 1,000 waves an hour
Surf lessons, splash pad, retail, a restaurant, and more
We’re already counting down for this one. It’s going to be the first of its kind around here.
Dolly Parton’s Pirates Voyage
Last stop of the day was the brand new Pirates Voyage dinner show by Dolly Parton. This just opened and it’s a huge attraction already.
It’s a $60 million, 60,000 square foot venue with:
A 15-foot deep indoor lagoon
Pirate ships, aerial stunts, mermaids, sea lions
Seating for over 1,000 guests
It’s wild in the best way and definitely worth checking out.
If you’re planning a move to the area or just coming for a visit, Panama City Beach is growing fast and has so many new things to explore. If you’ve got any questions or want to talk about buying or selling in the area, reach out anytime. We’re always happy to help.
